He begun to study violin at the age of 8 with Wanda Luzzato, at the Music Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan. During his student years, he stood out winning many competitions and scholarships.
At the age of 18 he graduated with the highest possible grade.
In 1989 he took part to the "Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival" Youth Orchestra, and between 1990 and 1992, to the European Community Youth Orchestra (E.C.Y.O.). During these experiences, he had the opportunity to take tours through Europe with great artists such as Leonard Bernstein, Carlo Maria Giulini, Valery Gergiev, Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Ashkenazy .
He improved his skills at the Music School of Fiesole with G. Prencipe, and also in Utrecht with Viktor Liberman (concert master of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra).
In 1995 he mastered the Solisten-Diplom at the Music School in Winterthur, studying with Aida Stucki Piraccini (also teacher of the Anne-Sophie Mutter).
He worked as concert master for two years at the "I Pomeriggi Musicali" Orchestra of Milan, and for three years at the Orchestra of the “Arena di Verona” Foundation.
Since 1997, he is concert master in the orchestra of the "Gran Teatro la Fenice" in Venice.
With these Orchestras also performs as soloist in many occasions.
He recorded as soloist and in chamber music groups for different Labels, such as Nuova Era, Tactus, Naxos.
He plays a 1850 J. B. Vuillaume violin.
