Lara Matteini


She studied piano from the age of 6 to 18. When she was 17, she began studying singing.
She graduated in Opera Singing (‘Conservatorio G.B. Martini’ in Bologna), in Baroque Singing(‘Schola Cantorum – Musik Akademie’ in Basel), in Musicology (University of Bologna, DAMS); in Didactics of Music (‘Conservatorio B. Marcello’ in Venice). 
As an opera singer, she won numerous international opera competitions in Italy, including the ‘International Competition Toti dal Monte’, in Treviso; the ‘New Voices International Competition of Opera G.B. Velluti’, in Dolo (Venice); the ‘International Competition Angelica Catalani’, in Ostra (Ancona); the ‘International Competition Riccardo Zandonai’, in Rovereto (Trento). 
She debuted as a protagonist in many operas, including: Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, Der Schauspieldirektor, Orfeo ed Euridice, Arianna (B. Marcello), Il Signor Bruschino, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Tancredi, Traviata, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Trovatore, Carmen, Suor Angelica, Tosca, Turandot, Mme Saint-Gène, The Telephone. 
She has performed in many different countries: Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Croatia, Tunisia, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Brazil. 
Since 2012 she has taught Opera Singing at the high school of music ‘Liceo Musicale Marco Polo’ in Venice.
